In 2021, China’s foreign trade export leading index will show a high level and stable trend, with a year-on-year increase of 21%. In terms of export destinations, the top three export destinations of China’s small, medium and micro foreign trade enterprises are: the European Union, North America, and ASEAN. The countries with high export growth rate of China’s small, medium and micro foreign trade enterprises are mainly concentrated along the “Belt and Road”, including India, Thailand, Indonesia, Brazil, the Philippines, Malaysia, Mexico, South Korea and so on. This has also become an important manifestation of my country’s continuous deepening of the “Belt and Road” economic and trade cooperation. In terms of product categories, China’s exports of medical supplies to major exporting countries increased the most, with an overall growth rate of 300%. At the same time, the export value of textiles also increased by 25%; the export value of 3C electronic products increased by 14%. “Consumers in developed countries such as Europe and the United States have continued their enthusiasm for purchasing electronic products related to home life and general health since 2020,” the report said.
In terms of the competitiveness index of China’s small, medium and micro foreign trade enterprises, China’s small, medium and micro foreign trade enterprises have shown a higher level of competitiveness in the context of the complex international trade situation. The report shows that from the perspective of buyer trust and product attractiveness, starting after the Spring Festival in 2021, the proportion of China’s small, medium and micro foreign trade enterprises’ order value to the first-phase payment of the order has shown a significant upward trend, and the average number of payment received for a single order significantly decreased. This shows that the global market’s trust in China’s small, medium and micro foreign trade enterprises is increasing, and the competitiveness of China’s small, medium and micro foreign trade enterprises is steadily improving. From the perspective of export operation efficiency, starting from September 2021, the average delivery time of small, medium and micro foreign trade enterprises in China will be shortened. This indicates that the impact of the international logistics block on China’s foreign trade has weakened. In November of that year, the order value of Chinese small, medium and micro foreign trade enterprises reached an annual peak, and the average delivery time was shortened by 2 days compared with the middle of the year. This shows that the export operation efficiency of China’s small, medium and micro foreign trade enterprises has further improved, and in the case of an increase in the order amount, it still shows a better response speed. “In 2022, China’s small, medium and micro foreign trade enterprises will continue their excellent performance in 2021 and release stronger international trade competitiveness.”
