Operation Method of Exhaust Air and Drainage of Truck Fuel-water Separator

The exhaust and drainage of the fuel-water separator is also called: low-pressure fuel line air intake, fuel line exhaust air, diesel filter exhaust air, fuel filter drain water, filter cup drain, diesel filter drain water, diesel grid drain, hand fuel pump drain; vehicle fuel channel intake Air, hand fuel pump pump fuel, etc. Trouble phenomenon: difficult to start the engine, unstable engine running, easy to stall during driving, precipitation indicator light is on.
1. The air and pump fuel in the high-pressure fuel circuit (from the fuel injection pump to the fuel injector pipeline) can be driven out by the starter motor. Please do not loosen the pipe union nuts on the fuel pump end, the fuel rail end and the fuel injector end. , Avoid high pressure to hurt people. 2. The air and pump fuel in the low-pressure fuel circuit (from the fuel tank to the fuel transfer pump pipeline) can be treated by the following methods: 1. Park the vehicle in a safe and flat place and open the fuel tank cover;
2. Locate the position of the fuel-water separator, and unscrew the exhaust bolt on the top of the filter element in a counterclockwise direction (usually an inner hexagon)
3. Operate the hand fuel pump handle reciprocally for about 30 times, until there is fuel overflow at the exhaust bolt and there are no air bubbles.
4. Quickly and carefully tighten the exhaust bolt in a clockwise direction
5. After exhausting the fuel system, start the engine.
6. If the engine does not start within 10 seconds, repeat steps 2 to 4.
fuel-water separator drainage treatment method:
- Find the position of the fuel-water separator, and place the container (capacity about 0.2L) under the drain plug of the fuel-water separator
- Carefully loosen the drain cock in a counterclockwise direction, and continue to drain the water for about 10 seconds.
- After draining the water, tighten the drain cock clockwise, and then inject fuel according to the steps 2 to 4.
7. After starting the engine, check whether the fuel leaks out through the drain cock. At the same time, check whether the fuel filter indicator light is off, and if not, repeat the draining operation process.
