How often should the air filter of a large truck be replaced?

Every 15,000 kilometers or 1 year.

The air filter of a truck should be replaced every 15,000 kilometers or 1 year. The air filter is used to filter the air entering the engine, and it plays a role in filtering out dust and debris particles in the air to ensure that sufficient clean and dry air enters the cylinder.

In areas with poor air quality and heavy wind and dust, the life of the air filter will be shortened due to the high filtration pressure of the air filter. If the air filter is dirty enough to need to be replaced, continuing to use it will definitely affect the intake system. Unsmooth intake or a large amount of impurities will affect the normal start of the car and the power output of the engine.

Precautions for using air filters

Gently take out the dirty filter from the housing, and do not knock on the filter housing: knocking the filter to the extent that it is enough to knock off the dust will damage the filter and make your engine lose its due protection, and knocking cannot remove the dust embedded very deeply, so you need to gently take out the dirty filter from the housing.

For example, with Donaldson radial seal technology filters, there will be some initial resistance because the filter element is tightly fitted on the outlet pipe to create a seal. When removing, you need to gently move the ends of the filter element forward and backward to separate the seal, then rotate the filter element while pulling straight out. When replacing the filter element, be sure to cover the air filter outlet to prevent any unfiltered contaminants from entering the engine.
