At the 25th Shenzhen Jiuzhou Automotive Ecology Expo, eBay organized an efficient procurement and matching docking meeting for cross-border auto parts sellers. eBay carried out relevant activities for three consecutive days, providing a wealth of information ranging from policy interpretation to overseas expansion strategies. In particular, for the sellers of the “Yuanshi • motors Club,” customized market analysis, compliance guidance, and traffic resource preferences were provided to help them accurately target high-potential markets.
At the exhibition site, eBay jointly launched an exclusive procurement and matching meeting with the Jiuzhou Exhibition. According to the “2025 eBay Strategy for Exporting Auto and Motorcycle Parts” guide, more than 50 high-quality manufacturers were selected from over 5,500 exhibitors at the Jiuzhou Exhibition, bringing high-quality goods sources in 200 subdivided categories, and achieving seamless docking with more than 40 eBay auto parts sellers. The organizer of the Jiuzhou Exhibition revealed that for the automotive electronics categories that eBay sellers in South China are concerned about, suppliers of core categories such as OBD diagnostic instruments, dash cams, and instrument panels were specially invited to participate. Considering the growing demand in the European market on the eBay platform, five top factories of electric vehicle chargers, which are in high demand in Europe, also made their appearance.
Data from the eBay platform shows that auto parts sellers in South China have sold their products to 190 countries and regions through this platform, with the main markets being the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia. Sellers have continuously improved their performance by deeply exploring advantageous categories, increasing vehicle model coverage rates, and firmly attracting professional buyers. Currently, two major trends are emerging: On the one hand, the European market has huge potential. The automotive aftermarket in countries such as Germany, the United Kingdom, and France is expanding rapidly, and the demand for various products, from OBD diagnostic instruments, vehicle lights to car audio systems, has increased comprehensively. The sales of instrument panels and OBD diagnostic instruments by South China sellers on the eBay platform have achieved double-digit growth, and the sales of electric vehicle chargers on the German site are also strong. On the other hand, the automotive electronics category has a promising future. According to Statista data forecasts, the global automotive electronics market will exceed 400 billion US dollars by 2028, with an annual compound growth rate of nearly 8%. The popularity of the automotive electronics category on the eBay platform has soared, and the sales of automotive code readers and navigators by South China sellers have significantly increased.
In addition, on February 21st, the COSCO Shipping container ship “Xin Changshu” set sail from the Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port, fully loaded with 227 TEUs of auto parts such as tires and automotive glass, and headed for the main ports in Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent and Pakistan region through the PMX route. This is the first batch of auto parts exports from the Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port after the Spring Festival. The PMX route is one of the first batch of “Maritime Silk Road” routes in Fuqing, directly connecting key ports in Singapore, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, and other places. The berthing of the “Xin Changshu” this time not only completed the loading of auto parts but also the unloading of 240 TEUs of goods with a total weight of 1,203 tons. Up to now, the Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port has been included in 13 named “Maritime Silk Road Shipping” routes. In 2024, a total of 324 voyages were made, and the container throughput reached 195,000 TEUs. In 2024, the total output value of the automotive industry in Fuqing exceeded 10 billion yuan for the first time.
