How To Replace The Forklift Oil Filter?
1. Start the forklift engine, when the engine operating temperature reaches the normal temperature, use the jack to jack up the vehicle, pull up the forklift handbrake and place the front wheel with a wooden wedge.
2. Place the old oil container under the oil pan of the forklift, and gradually unscrew the oil bolt from the oil drain bolt of the oil pan. The caveat is to be careful not to touch the hot oil and to allow the oil to drip for as long as possible. Check the oil drain bolt of the forklift, reinstall the oil drain bolt, and do not overtighten the forklift bolt to avoid damage to the oil pan.
3. Move the oil container under the oil filter, use the special oil filter wrench to loosen the forklift filter element, and unscrew it by hand. (It should be noted that the temperature of the filter element should be considered before twisting, do not twist with bare hands, and be sure to wear gloves). When unscrewing, be careful not to damage the interface screw of the filter element of the device and the parts around the filter element, and the removed oil filter element cannot be re-installed.
4. Refer to the forklift user manual to select the oil filter that matches the vehicle.
5. Use new oil to modify the interface gasket of the new filter element. If the orientation of the filter element is straight, you can pour some new oil into the filter element, which will reduce dry grinding the next time the engine is started. Screw in the filter element by hand and tighten the filter element as indicated (usually 3/4 turn after tightening the oil filter element by hand).
6. Pour the new forklift oil into the oil pan. The oil type should be selected according to the user manual. Pour using an application funnel to avoid pouring the oil on the outside of the engine. After pouring in, check whether there is oil leakage at the bottom of the engine. If not, put down the vehicle to check the oil dipstick, and start the forklift engine. The indicator light on the exterior should go off immediately after starting. Finally, shut down the engine to check the oil level repeatedly, and dispose of the old oil and oil filter.
