Daily maintenance and maintenance methods of air compressor filters

Turn off the car

Make sure the vehicle is turned off and cool down for 15-20 minutes, then open the hood and find the location of the air filter. The air filter is generally located on the right side of the engine compartment, you can check the location mark on the vehicle manual.

Take the filter

Open the filter cover latch, remove the nut securing the cover, pull open the baffle, and take out the filter element. When taking out the filter element, be careful to prevent impurities from falling into the carburetor.

Clean the filter element

Check whether the filter element has a lot of dust. You can use compressed air to blow away the dust on the filter element from the inside out. If there is no compressed air, lightly tap the filter element with the handle of a screwdriver, and then use a brush to remove external dirt. Now the general car uses a dry paper filter element, do not use gasoline or water to wash.

After removing the dust, if the outer surface of the filter paper is clear and the inner surface is bright, the filter element can continue to be used; if the outer surface of the filter paper has lost its natural color or the inner surface is dark, it needs to be replaced!
