Are air filters the same as air filters?

The air-conditioning filter element and the air filter element are different. Although they are both used to filter the air, there are many differences. Let’s take a look at the differences.

1. The installation location is different. The part where the air filter is installed is generally a box on the right side of the engine in the hood, the pipe is connected to the engine, and the air filter is installed inside. The air-conditioning filter element is located in the glove box of the car’s co-pilot, which can be seen by removing the baffle.

2. The replacement time is different. Both the air filter element and the air conditioner filter element need to be replaced and maintained regularly. The replacement cycle of the air filter element is generally once when driving about 15,000 kilometers. If it is in an environment with severe sandstorms or catkins, the replacement cycle can be appropriately shortened. The air-conditioning filter element is generally replaced when the vehicle is driven for about half a year or about 10,000 kilometers. If the environment is humid and there are many haze weather, the replacement cycle should also be shortened.

3. Different functions. The air filter is mainly used to protect the engine, it is used to filter the air entering the engine, filter the impurity particles in the air, and ensure that the combustion chamber of the engine has cleaner air. The air conditioner filter is to protect the occupants of the car, mainly to filter the air that enters the car through the external air conditioner, which can ensure that the air is healthier when the air conditioner is turned on.
