The function of air compressor filter element:

The oily compressed air produced by the main engine enters the cooler, and is mechanically separated into the oil and gas filter element for filtration. The oil mist in the gas is intercepted and polymerized to form oil droplets concentrated at the bottom of the filter element and returned to the compressor lubrication system through the oil return pipe. The compressor discharges compressed air; in short, it is a device that removes solid dust, oil and gas particles and liquid substances in the compressed air.

principle

The air compressed from the head of the screw compressor entrains oil droplets of different sizes. Large oil droplets are easily separated through the oil and gas separation tank, while small oil droplets (suspended) must pass through the micron glass fiber of the oil and gas separation filter element. The filter material is filtered. The correct choice of glass fiber diameter and thickness is an important factor to ensure the filtering effect. After the oil mist is intercepted, diffused and polymerized by the filter material, the small oil droplets quickly aggregate into large oil droplets, pass through the filter layer under the action of pneumatic and gravity, and settle at the bottom of the filter element. The oil passes through the inlet of the oil return pipe in the recess at the bottom of the filter element and continuously returns to the lubrication system, so that the compressor discharges the compressed air.

Replacement method

When the lubricating oil consumption of the air compressor increases greatly, check whether the oil filter, pipeline, oil return pipe, etc. are blocked and cleaned. When the oil consumption is still large, the general oil and gas separator has deteriorated and needs to be replaced in time; The oil and gas separation filter element should be replaced when the pressure difference between both ends reaches 0.15MPA; when the pressure difference is 0, it indicates that the filter element is faulty or the air flow has been short-circuited. At this time, replace the filter element when it is used.

The replacement steps are as follows:

External model
The external model is relatively simple. Stop the air compressor, close the air pressure outlet, open the drain valve, and after confirming that the system is pressure-free, remove the old oil and gas separator and replace it with a new one.
Folding built-in model
Follow the steps below to replace the oil and gas separator correctly:
1. Stop the air compressor, close the air pressure outlet, open the drain valve, and confirm that the system has no pressure.
2. Disassemble the pipeline above the oil and gas barrel, and at the same time remove the pipeline from the outlet of the pressure maintenance valve to the cooler.
3. Remove the oil return pipe.
4. Remove the fixing bolts of the cover on the oil and gas barrel, and remove the upper cover of the barrel.
5. Remove the oil and gas separator and replace it with a new one.
6. Install in the reverse order of disassembly.

Notice

When installing the return pipe, make sure that the pipe is inserted into the bottom of the filter element. When replacing the oil and gas separator, pay attention to the discharge of static electricity, and connect the inner metal mesh with the shell of the oil drum. Approximately 5 staples can be stapled on each of the upper and lower pads, and the staples can be ordered thoroughly to prevent electrostatic accumulation from igniting and exploding. It is necessary to prevent unclean products from falling into the oil drum to avoid affecting the operation of the compressor.
