The working principle of the drying cylinder:

The compressed air from the air compressor enters the A cavity through the 1 air inlet, where the condensed water generated by the decrease in temperature accumulates, and passes through the channel C to the exit e. After passing through the inner filter ring of the drying cylinder, the compressed air enters the upper part of the drying cylinder. In this process, the air is further cooled and the water vapor is further condensed. When passing through the granular filter screen, the water is adsorbed on the surface of the granular desiccant and the gaps between the particles. The dried air flows to the four-circuit valve through the check valve C and the 21 air outlet, and at the same time, the dried air also passes through the throttling port through the 22 air outlet to the regeneration air outlet.

Dryer installation requirements:

1. The dryer must be installed vertically;

2. The temperature of the air inlet of the dryer should not exceed +65 ºC.

maintenance:

1. The drying tank should be replaced regularly, generally every two years or 100,000 kilometers;

2. It is recommended to check the air tank farthest from the dryer once a month. If there is water, it means that the drying tank is invalid;

Common faults of dryer

1. Observe the air pressure gauge when the vehicle is idling, if it does not rise or rises very slowly, check the dryer body and related pipelines for air leakage

2. Check whether there is air leakage from the air outlet of the air compressor to the air inlet of the dryer. Check with soapy water.

3. Check whether the cut-off pressure and adjustment range of the dryer are normal

4. There is water in the brake pipeline: check whether the exhaust port of the dryer can drain normally, otherwise it can be judged that the drying cylinder is invalid

5. Heater burning insurance: check whether the wire in the heater’s thermostat is short-circuited with the dryer’s shell. The dryer heater is not divided into positive and negative poles.
