What is the usage of air filter?

The function of the air filter is mainly to filter impurities or dust in the air and let clean air enter the cylinder. Practice has proved that the life of engine without air filter will be shortened by 2/3. In addition, the air filter can also reduce the intake noise. The air filter is located in the engine air intake system. It is an integral mechanism composed of one or several clean air filter components. There are two types of air filters; Dry and wet.
The structure of the air filter is very simple, that is, there is a metal or paper filter element in a housing (paper filter elements are often used), and when air flows through it, impurities will be blocked and adhered to the filter element. The utility model has the advantages of simple structure, convenient maintenance and small intake resistance; The disadvantage is that the filtering effect is limited. If the air filter is damaged, the dust will directly enter the engine.

3. Due to the harsh working environment of heavy vehicles, their air filters must be majority.
