Where is the fuel filter?

The fuel filter is located in: 1. the fuel tank; 2. The oil pipe connection of the chassis of the vehicle. Gasoline filter is divided into diesel filter, gasoline filter and natural filter. The function of the fuel filter is to filter harmful particles and water in the fuel gas system of the engine, protect the oil nozzle, cylinder liner and piston ring of the oil pump to reduce wear, avoid clogging, remove iron oxide, dust and other solid debris contained in the fuel, reduce mechanical wear, and ensure the stable operation of the engine. The structure of the fuel filter is composed of an aluminum shell and a bracket with stainless steel inside. The bracket is equipped with high-efficiency filter paper, which is in the form of chrysanthemum to increase the flow area.

1. External fuel filter

The external fuel filter is easy to maintain, just loosen the oil pipe connected with the fuel filter and the screw fixing the fuel filter. But the new filter is equipped with two rubber hoses to connect the vehicle oil circuit and fuel filter. When replacing the fuel filter, it should be replaced together with the oil pipe to avoid aging and deterioration of the rubber hose, which may cause fuel leakage.

2. Built-in fuel filter

The fuel filter installed in the fuel tank is connected to the gasoline pump when servicing the fuel system. It is impossible to replace the gasoline pump, fuel filter and fuel output device during regular maintenance, and the cost is too high. When the fuel system fails, the fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel output device need to be removed to check the failure point.
