Things to prepare in the early stage

Tools: Phillips head screwdriver, quick wrench (ratchet wrench) and socket, machine filter bowl or chain wrench, fender cloth (not necessary), oil receiving device (such as waste washbasin), and a few rags.

Other preparations: prepare tooling or dirt-resistant clothes; a pair of gloves; a pair of goggles (the vacuum pump can be ignored).

Venue selection

(1) Gravity replacement is best to choose a place with a trench for operation. SUVs or off-road vehicles with a higher chassis can also be operated under the vehicle. If the car cannot be drilled, it is recommended to use a vacuum pumping unit to replace it. Jacks are not recommended. Support body operation to avoid potential safety hazards;

(2) Replacement of vacuum pumping unit: just level the ground.

Note: (1) It is best to choose a place where there is less flow of people and vehicles to avoid danger caused by scratching;

(2) It is necessary to choose a level ground, otherwise it will affect the drainage of old oil.

Oil filter replacement steps

First use a jack to lift the front part of the car, remove the lower guard plate, and find the oil drain screw at the bottom of the engine. Place a 10L container directly below, and then use a wrench to loosen the oil screw to drain the oil. Note that when the car is hot, don’t get burned by the high-temperature engine oil. The location of the machine filter is different for each car, and it is usually around the engine, using a special wrench to remove the old and replace it with a new one. After the replacement is completed, tighten the oil drain screw, check the tightening of the screw, and whether there is any oil leakage. Finally, inject new oil into the oil filling port. It is recommended to use a beverage bottle to make a funnel. When filling the oil, if it is not clear how much oil should be added. Please check the oil dipstick frequently, add the lower guard plate at the end, and put away the tools.
